Why Wagshore exists
Wagshore was born from years of pet sitting across the British Virgin Islands — a place where life moves at a slower pace, trust is everything, and the relationship between people and their animals is taken seriously. We built our practice there, caring for dogs on islands where the ocean is always in view and the community is tight-knit.
Now we're bringing that same ethos home to the South Carolina Lowcountry. The barrier islands here — Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Goat Island — feel familiar. The salt air, the marsh light, the unhurried rhythm of island life. It's the right place to do this work the right way.
Wagshore is intentionally small. We serve a carefully curated group of clients and we intend to keep it that way. Fewer clients means more presence, more attention, and a deeper relationship with every dog in our care. That's not a limitation — it's the whole point.
